I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this.

I've been using an SR60i for about 4 years. I had been thinking about upgrading and recently came across a used 225i. My question is how do I check if it is in good condition before buying.

Since I have access to the seller, I know the first would be to check for physical damages / repairs / mods. But what else do I do other than listening to familiar tracks? I do not have access to any 'good players' - only my laptop and an iPod nano.

Also, what would be a good price? I know it depends on a ton of things but any standard measure? Half the market price?

I prefer to buy my headphones new. You can get them on ebay used somewhere between $125 and $160 shipped depending on their condition. They seem to be very popular and go very fast.
