I'd like to re-cap a pair as mine sound dull compared to the Forty -  - is disassembly straight-forwards? - what's a good cap to use? - are film caps too bright?

If I remember correctly they're extremely straight forward to disassemble. I think there are just four screws underneath the pads, faceplate pulls off and everything is very simple from that point.

thanks! - 47uF seems large for a highpass cap -  could not see any decimal point for a "4.7"  - ordered some 47uF/50v Xicon - wonder if a good headphone could be made from say a Faital 3fe20 -?
