Hello everyone,

I recently decided to re-cable a headphone my-self, just to see how it works...

I bought a Koss KSC75 for this experiment, doesn't matter if I beat it up (its cheap)~ I wanna recable it with silver cable or anything people recommends...

I don't really expect a change in sound since I won't really use it anyways...

I just wanna see how recabling works, it seems interesting...

it would be nice if someone can show me a link of tutorial or just a brief write up on how this can be done, etc...

also where to buy the tools, cables and plugs? (I can buy from any DIY experts in this forum too)...

Thank you very much for any help!

Feather

by the way this look really kul!

I'd just follow the tutorial for the D1001 recabling and apply it towards the KCS75.
as long as you can get those open on your own, it should be the same.

I am sure there are more guides... but head-fi's search engine is pretty bad.. I could hardly find that one

Just learn how to open the enclosure...

This will vary from headphone to headphone...

Once you get them apart...

You'll need the ability to desolder the existing leads...

Or perhaps you can just cut the cables fairly close to the initial soldering...

Then attach the new cable...

It should already be terminated with the connector and sleeving you want to use...

That should do it...

Oh...

Don't melt the drivers with your soldering iron...

The heat can damage drivers...

So be cautious with that...
