hi guys, was reading about how the audigy is pretty bad for music, so i'm asking you guys if you know how to configure it properly. now before you guys go tell me to get a a710, i'm on a budget and not really interested in getting another soundcard no matter how cheap it is... atleast for now. searched through some forums and have read that some ppl say that a properly configured audigy doesnt sound half bad, but i don't think i've seen any posts directly telling ppl how to tune it properly. so if anyone can help, thanks.

Use foobar2000
Disable CMSS
Set playback to 24 bits fixed
set resampling to 48khz
Use directsound hardware enabled output or ASIO or Kerenal Streaming (let your ears decide)

If you're resampling to 48khz, Windows Kmixer won't resample AFAIK since that's the native sampling rate. So Kernel Streaming/ASIO is just a waste of CPU cycles (and Audigy isn't ASIO-capable anyways).
