I was thinking of buying a pair of Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro off of eBay and modding them extensively to remedy some of its deficiencies. My plan is to open up the cups and perform the "bass reduction" mod and recable, adding a split and a higher quality plug. I was also considering making a pair of darthbeyer-esque wood cups. In order to do any of these things, however, I really need a better understanding of the cups, their innards and how they connect to the yoke. If someone could provide pictures or a link that offers these details, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
