I've made a very basic amplifier a few months ago mainly for school and partly for fun. I now have to measure how it performs and how it well it amplifies each signal. Can anyone tell me what's the best way to get such a graph?
I was thinking to let my source play pink noise (containing all frequencies) and plug it into my amp. I then output the signal to a speaker and measure with a microphone how hard each frequency is. Only problem is, this way my results will be dependent on the speaker because it'll be more or less efficient with different frequencies. Or is this not the case?
Any input appreciated!
