Hi all,
Sorry if the question sounds silly. How to make sure the Macbook is bypassing sound card and directly outputting the information of the source file?
I'm asking this 'cause I found that the volume control of the software (I'm using COG as the player to play ape file) can determine the volume of the headphone...if Macbook is outputting the original information from the source file, then the information DAC receives should be the same, regardless of the volume setting of the software itself, right? I can confirm that the keyboard volume control of the Macbook no longer works, but the volume bar of COG still works.
My rig: MacBook (software: COG) -> toslink to mini plug -> Scott Nixon TD 2.2 -> SRM-323S -> SR-407.
Thank you guys in advance for the help.
