I have an Esoteric D70 which I really enjoy the sound of. I am currently feeding it from my desktop PC directly with an optical cable (through Xonar soundcard).
I am looking for a way to feed input to the Esoteric from my smart devices like phones or ipad since I enjoy the quietness of an ipad more.
Is there any way to add streaming capabilities to it? I also have a Logitech Squeezebox Touch but that doesnt seem to be supported by anything anymore.

Squeezebox platform is still alive. You just need to install and run Logitech Media Server software from https://mysqueezebox.com/download. It can run on Raspberry Pi or on some NAS devices. And then some control application on your iPad.

The problem is getting the signal to the dac. I am looking at Apple tv 2nd generation can do airplay and also has optical out. This might work.
