how to improve x-fi line in quality?

i have a x-fi model sb04060(xtrememusic) i ordered 2 lm4562 op amp and the blackgate capacitor to hotrod it, can i use the other op amp to replace the line in op amp?
 
reason i'm asking is i use my xbox 360 by plugging into the sound card line in and it sounded very very bad

Are you sure it was the 'Line-In' and not the 'Microphone-in'?  Since I do that with my PS3 right now, and it sounds fine.

Yeah, but it's not automatically set, if I do recall.  So check your X-Fi software, and see if you can set it to line-in, instead of mic in.
