I have seen DACs work only when wired, but is there any product that can improve SQ when I'm using bluetooth to connect to PC audio or handphone? Primarily listen to Spotify / FLAC, budget under $300 preferred.

Hi @dylansmith,

The honest answer is you can't.

While I would normally suggest looking into the Fiio BTR 3, BTR 5 or Shanling M0 for your needs, the main issue is WF-1000XM2 doesn't support AptX, let alone LDAC so via Bluetooth connection you're not going to improve your sound quality unless you use IEMs which support at least AptX for minimum decent to good sound quality.

Hope you have a great day !

Unless Google is failing me, what exactly is a WF-1000XM2 anyway? I found WH-1000XM2, WF-1000X, WF-1000XM3, and WI-1000XM2 but nothing on WF-1000XM2.

If your smartphone supports LDAC, then you already have a very good start. Just make sure you select 'Sound Quality Preferred' in the LDAC setting and you are done.

There is no standalone LDAC adapter for PC, but there are indirect way to get LDAC on PC (*it involves buying one of thoe DAP that has LDAC and also can act as a transmitter in USB DAC mode). Frankly speaking that's really not an ideal solution. If you are fine with aptX, I can recommend Creative BT-W2.
