I have the Asus Xonar DG and I'm about to order the Schiit Magni 2. My DT990 is about to arrive soon. Wondering how I hook up an amp to a soundcard before I order the Magni.

For this basically you can only use a 3.5mm to RCA cable I think

No loss in quality right? I still haven't ordered this yet but I could get an amp/Dax like fiio 10 and bypass the soundcard, if that's the case

You can connect an external headphone amplifier directly to the Xonar DG front speaker/headphone jack (green).
I'm guessing the DG's built in headphone amplifier is so weak that it does not seem to have any negative issues when an external amp is connected to it.
Fiio E10k USB-DAC-Amp is nice, but offers zero headphone surround sound, which is not need for music or basic internet videos.
