1. Why is this in DIY??
2. Usually I can't get the file size small enough before the picture is too small and/or looks like crap. Look for some free image hosting.

-reduce resolution
-use higher compression with jpegs
-for small sketches, schematics, etc. use GIF format
-use reduced palette with GIFs
-don't expect miracles from 25k. Consider hosting on another server.

i usually slect which part of the image i want, hit the crop button, then i hit the resize button. since head-fi doesn't like stuff more than 75 pixels, i will adjust the higher number to 75 and the other number is automatically downsized to correct perspective.
