How to differentiate between SE530 vs E500?

some say that the newer batch (i.e SE530) have a better cable formula as a result, it addresses the cable cracking issue.

Can someone conform what is stamped on the plug of SE530s? On my E500s, "E500" is stamped on the plug.

Well, no need for the unhappy face. They are really the same thing, just the E500 was rebranded as the SE530. The only thing I am aware of that changed (aside from the bundling) is the cables. And I am pretty sure the cable change did not coincide with the rebranding to SE530s. I think the cable change came after that. So, newer models should have the reformulated cables. If Shure hadn't come out with the SE line of IEMs, I expect these would still be sold as E500s and with the new cable.
