The other day, my little sister decided to put magnets on my TV, and now i have big purple streak through then middle of my TV. I dont even use it that much anymore, but it is just annoying to look at. I was wondering if anyone here has had experience in getting rid of this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I saw this.
But I can't validate their claims.

If you deside to go for it let us know how you make out.

Your other choice would be to take it to a TV repair shop.
They would be able to do this for you.
(for about the same price I would assume.

Degaussing coils will usually clear it up. Call the local tv shop and ask if you can borrow one. The other thing to try is turning the tv set on and off several times and see if it will self degauss.

Voyager: Yup, degaussing coils or wands might work, but so might also the original magnet. I had also once magnetized my parents' tv set with an old speaker magnet when I was a teen, but I was able to demagnetize it again by moving the magnet in circular motions over the magnetized spot close first and then with slowly increasing distance, so that there was no trace left (and dad happy again...
