I recently bought a "holy grail" TDSOTM CD which has pre-emphasis. What is the proper or best way to rip the CD as to get rid of the pre-emphasis? Can dbpoweramp cd ripper do this? Help!

You can use SoX on mac or PC, but it's command line. If you have a mac I would suggest using xACT, as it is not command line. Best of luck, that pre-emphasis DSOTM CD is one of my favorite versions!

Using sox to de-emphasize, edit sox batch file to something like "sox input.wav output.wav deemph".
