I have some MP3 files that I converted a long time ago and I was just wondering how I can convert them to a lower bitrate (and therefore smaller size). This is so that I can fit more on my flash player and keep the higher quality (larger size) for the iHP..

Thanks!

DBPoweramp and iTunes are two. Is speed or highest quality for bitrate your target? Does your flash player support Ogg or WMA?

Depends on the encoder (and definitely your machine - CPU, RAM, etc.). LAME is the higher quality, but can take 5X or higher depending on setting. iTunes branched FhG is very quick, though likely not as high quality wise. If you use LAME's most recent couple of releases you also have the option of --alt-preset fast medium, which should be better than 128 at about 20% increase in size (also about 20% less than -aps).
