Friend works in a warehouse and would like to hook all 5 up to listen to music.

He's using a fujitsu Q550 win 7 tablet to stream spotify. Also has a fiio e6(if it helps). He can also use a laptop to stream(dell e4300), but would prefer to use the tablet.

How would he go about hooking all 5 up? Would a DAC help?

I'm assuming his tablet has USB input. If so, an external USB sound card like this should work: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102035

Heya,

"All 5"? What is that? Does he have 5 sets of the BX5a's? If so, each one has to have an input from a device. Your table/computer is going to have a single output. You will need a 5 way splitter. The tablet/computer has 3.5mm TRS output. So you'll need that for output to the splitter. And from the splitter, output probably TRS to 2x RCA male to each BX5a system. The biggest thing is to get a splitter though. And preferably an active one so that it's powered, otherwise, the signal quality is going to be absolutely diminished split that many times.

Kind of silly using active monitors like this. It would be way more simple and effective to just use a single receiver with a bunch of passive bookshelf speakers.

Very best,
