I just got a free pair of Shure E2Cs. They're disgusting. How can I make them squeaky clean? Rubbing alcohol? I'm throwing the pads away, going to find some new ones, can I have suggestions for that also? Thanks in advance.

You can buy a box of alcohol pads at any medical supply store (maybe at walmart too- not sure). I think a pack of 100 is about $5. I use these to clean my sleeves and the phones themselves every few days. There should also be a tool included with the shures that can get at the hard to reach places.

You can order replacement pads off of the Shure website or earphonesolutions.com. I believe its about $10-$12 for a pack of 5 pairs.
