Over the years, I have vanquished the K-Mixer from my PC (XP Pro). I think at one time, I unmapped the "Mixer Device" from control panel somewhere.

How do you bring the K-Mixer back? I ask b/c when I'm not listening to my 2-channel ASIO audio, I can't hear any sound from things like Youtube or other streaming.

Windows Troubleshoot is telling me to go to "Printers and Hardware" in my control panel and "add" Mixer, but my control panel has "Printers" only, and under "Add Hardware" it's asking me to plug in the hardware first!

Control panel
Sounds and Audio Devices
Click the "Hardware" Tab
Select your sound card
Click properties button
Click properties tab
Expand "Mixer Devices" and select the sub-item below it
Click the properties button
Click "Use Mixer on this Device"

That works for me anyway.

Thanks, that worked for my Lynx 2B. But when I don't want to use the Lynx card and just use my ASUS onboard sound, I still can't get any sound. I see Legacy Audio Drivers under devices, but under "properties," there is no devices listed (blank) under Legacy Audio Drivers.
