How sturdy and well made CIEMs are in general compared to IEMs?

I am reading around the internet about CIEM as I am planning to buy my first CIEM in 2017 and came across a vendor's FAQ which was talking about the fact that CIEM shells are not as sturdy as you may assume and they can easily crack or break. I wanted to ask if anyone here had his or her CIEM cracked or broken and if so, what kind of accident caused it?

Cheers!

I had my jh16 in my pocket. It went for a wash and then the dryer.

It ended up with the left side in pieces and right side missing a faceplate. Had to look for the tiny drivers. But JH Audio is just great and they repaired it %100 and didnt charge me a cent.

Ciems are custom molded in acrylic so even if you do crack it the repair wouldnt be difficult.
