Was there really someone in the 80+ category? No offense, but it is just difficult to imagine an eighty year old man/woman sitting on the internet surfing audio forums all day.

53!!!

Was considering changing the moniker to Methuselah after seeing the number of youngsters here but then I saw the graph classifying my age group 'Older Adult' though I am pushing the far end. I love the science of Statistics! Put your feet in an oven and your head in a freezer and you ought to be comfortable, going by the average temperature...

But age does have its advantages. All my life I was accused of being a radical, just slightly to the right of Genghis Khan. Now they they just think I am senile.. (Especially when they see me around wearing Grados and a headphone amp).

In a lighter vein, fellow forumers, I love it here. In the few short months that I have been seriously headphoning, I have become addicted to the forum. There is no other forum on the net that has as much camaraderie and helpfulness. I go back a long way too.. bulletin boards with acoustically coupled modems ( the computer was a DEC 10, about the size of a house, used in one of the larger scientific facilities in India, back in 1968). Thank you all !

I've passed 65, enjoy Head-Fi, love my K1000, and have an uncle 96 who enjoys his HD600. BTW, our old ears are still OK, so there are lots of years for you to enjoy headphones.

You have good, encouraging parents..

By quick calculations you should have the mental capacity of an adult (18) in about 25 years...

But don't worry about it, some of us never achieve it.

I`m 22. Medical student in Korea, I`m going through hell in class cause most of the lectures are in Korean and I have a hard time with the language. (Spent most of my life overseas)

Well I`m glad to be labeled as a young adult cause in Korea if you look old they think of you as an 'ajoushi'. I think you could translate that into 'uncle' in english but has a bad side to it.

I feel good when they ask me for identification at bars but I can`t seem to remember the last time they asked me for id.
