Anyone who owns one of these player, could you please tell me how much power the player uses? I've looked at pictures of the back panel, it says something on the bottom like "F1.25 amp / ~250 V" which I don't really understand. It doesn't mean it draws 1.25 amps if taking in 250 V does it? Otherwise that means this CD player uses 312 watts, sounds unlikely.

Thanks!

The Shanling s100 is chinese which is why they may need 250 volts. Some are modified and sold in Canada. Those are the ones you want-120 volts. Or you can get the Music Hall which is the same unit just rebadged and retooled for the US.

I already got one that runs on 220v, and just need a voltage converter to run it. But I need to know how much current it's going to draw so I can get the right sized voltage converter.

By the way, it is the US musichall model that says 120v 50/60 hz on the top of the socket, and on the bottom it says F1.25 amp /~250V so I'm just confused what that's supposed to mean.

My Music Hall CD25 says -115-120V/50-60HZ on top and F1.25A/-250V on the bottom. U.S. model.
You can probably get in touch with a tech through there web site. www.musichallaudio.com

I decided to just get a 200 watt converter, I can't imagine a CD player using even close to 200 watts. So anyway, it seems to work fine, had it running for 24 hours straight and it's just fine, it sounds great too. I wonder if I'm losing any quality by having to go through this voltage converter, which may introduce extra noise into the power. But in any case, I can't really complain since I paid so little for the CD player.
