Hey all, im looking to get a voltage converter for a headphone tube amp. The Step up converter that im looking at comes in several different flavours, 100w, 200w -> and so on. They do progressively get more and more expensive, so my question is, will i be able to get away with the 100w?

Your transformer should be at least twice the draw of the appliance.

Look for one that is perfectly quiet and cool in operation, hopefully with some AC line filtering.

Will it effect the SQ using a converter like this?

Im assuming all the power conditioning circuts are inside the amp already.
