Who have I kept a K1000 away from? I thought I was helping keep more K1000s in peoples' hands by sharing information on how to work on them and sometimes fixing broken K1000s myself.

I will give you $500 and a foot of my hair for one of those.

I've thought about getting a second K601, just in case mine breaks down the road and I don't up SOL, as well as a second pair of SE-L40s out of curiosity in production and sound differences.

In the picture you have 8 K1000s. You could make 7 head fiers very happy.

It was only a joke but I am sure there is some here frustrated with your 8 K1000s lol

I will regret it though. I always go to the extreme. When I do something I put in 110%, then the interest waines. I'm looking at buying the T1/HD800, to give me a excuse to sell 3 of them. Hopefully they will go out of production and the prices will go up to make a profit, but unlikely. They are so cheap for what they give you, like the 340's.. The price to performance is nuts, especially out of a speaker amp, so you buy more.. Great for modding, bass light 340, bass heavy 340. If the 340's were in production for 73 yrs you would have around 12 knowing how AKG gives their headphones sequals. I like the 340's a lot too.
