ive got 11gbs atm. this is about half of my cds, and half of these mp3s are just in 128kbps lame without id3 tags. i am re-ripping everything to my prefered format, .ogg 256kbps with tags. when this is done, i will have a good 30gbs.

I have ~500MB on my HD.
And 14 CDR's filled with mp3's

Pretty soon I'm getting a new computer and than I can finally put my mp3 collection on my HD. And re-rip most of them since the majority is 128kbps. And re-ripping on this old thing takes 2 hours per CD.

I have about 130Gb encoded with lame -aps, which is about half of my cd collection.

I'm not looking forward to ripping and encoding the rest since the 1st half took so damn long, but it's really convenient having instant access to my music this way.

I've got 42 Gig of MP3s EAC ripped, LAME encoded at -alt-preset standard (some) and -alt-preset extreme (most) - and still ripping...

I have a 10Gig iPod which is always full. Once you load it with "core" music, it is very quick and simple to rotate one or more albums on and off it as you listen to new music - way faster than burning CDR/RW for my RioVolt MP3/CD player.

...need more hard drive space on my PC
