It'd be interesting to see the ratio between hours spent listening per day and amount of money spent on headphone gear.

I listen to headphones about 6-8hrs/day and spent around $900 so far.

I listen for about 2 hours while commuting and then maybe half an hour or so at home.

I can't concentrate with music on, not even with instrumentals

It depends for me as well. On my job, sometimes I'm in the office and sometimes I'm out in the field. In my office I listen constantly (well, accept when the phone rings or I'm talking to someone). Out in the field I often don't listen at all. At home, anytime I'm on the computer I'm listening (Audiophile 2496 analog out to old Technics receiver to headphone jack). If my family is watching TV and I'm not interested but want to be in the same room with them I'll listen (old Sony CDP on the top the sofa bookshelf behind where I sit). I chose 5 hours (or was it six?) as a good average.

An hour with my e2c on the walk/train/bus home. Then a couple of hours in the evening glued to my 'phones and my computer... especially a certain website....

It varies. Sometimes, when I'm on a plane trip or at work, I have my IEMs on for 4-6 hours at a time, maybe 8 hours/day total. Most of the time, I listen to my HD 600 for two or three hours in the evening when I'm at home. I've spent about $600 on my current gear.

I'd predict on and off at work sits around 6-7 hours plus almost any moment at home (just listening, video games, even movies or TV are rigged into my PC/Cans) or travel works out to about 2-4 hours.

I log in about 6 hours of music listening at work. (desk job, boring) Then I get home and usually have homework meaning 2-3 hours of more music. The rest of the day (what day? :\ ) is mine, so add a few more hours to that. All in all 10 hours, average, per day.

I wish I had more free time.

I picked 6hrs, but thats probably low. Mainly b/c if I'm sitting at my computer, I have on headphones.. and if I'm home I'm at my computer.. and if I am not at school, I'm home.
