I have never listened to an iPOD and I was wondering what the ouput power and volume levels are like like. Basically will it be loud enough for me? I find tha a lot of MP3 players and PCDP's do not have adequete volume levels.

I use mine with Grado SR60's and find the normal volume level to be about 50%.

The US version of the iPod gets plenty loud with all but my hardest-to-drive cans (HD-650). If you are in the EU you are stuck with the volume-limited version of the iPod and, judging from threads on these forums, it can be a real pain in the ass.

To second the question: Where do you live? What headphones are you going to be driving with the iPod or other DAP/PCDP?

I use the Sony EX70 for the gym and Sony V6's for portable non-gym use. Im in the U.S.

Should not be an issue even with an EU-limited iPod.
