how is grado sr80?

IMO, the SR-80 improves significantly with an amp. Better bass, more impact.

The SR80 is SO much better...
And they improve with the amp indeed.

Yup. What they said. I also think the SR-80 is more pleasing to my ears than the ER6i (although I like the Etys as well), even unamped. Both the ER6i & the SR-80 benefit from an amp, but neither really needs an amp to shine. Also, if you like the sound of the ER6i, I think you will also like the Grado sound (I do anyway).
