You need to download following software/firmware
* - https://www.intel.com/content/www/u...design-software-version-13-1-for-windows.html
Scroll down and click download - INSTALL IT!
* - Find your firmware here: http://www.audio-gd.com/Firmwaredownload.htm
Prepare the Altera USB blaster for connection. See this link: http://www.audio-gd.com/R2R/R8/R8updateEN.htm
1. Poweroff the unit disconnect all cabes and let it "discharge" completely for 10min
2. Connect the power cable and wait 30 seconds
3. Connect one end of the Altera USB blaster to the units firmware port and connect the usb side to the computer
4. Power on DAC se step 5 in this guide:http://www.audio-gd.com/R2R/R8/R8updateEN.htm
-Follow Step 6 to 10. If you do not succeed with the USB Blaster installation see troubleshoot below
Troubleshooting
If you can not see your USB blaster, it might be that you either have to use one of the 3 solutions below - if first attempt does not work start over from step 1! - do not risk hot-plugging while the unit is on -> probably nothing happens, but be extra careful in general as it is firmware.
*USB Hub before the blaster
*Another USB Blaster.
*If you have a dedicated USB port for BIOS update on you motherboard use that port - It fixes most driver issues with the USB Blaster!
