I am browsing for IEMs for my soon to start daily 1,5h travel to and from work. I plan use my Iphone, streaming lossless from Tidal HIFI. I set myself a limit of 900€/$1000 which I can't exceed.
How good is the output quality of the Iphone? Is a $1k IEM overkill for the standart output via the lightning dongle?
Would it be wiser to go for a cheaper IEM solution and use a portable dac/amp or safe the extra money for the dac/amp altogether ?
