I ordered some for noise cancelization, but how well do they sound, i listen to metal. Like metallica, iron maiden, megadeth, pantera,ect

And why arnt they considered portable, there earbuds and have a travel case.

The sound isn't bad, I'd say it's certainly worth the price. They aren't the most detailed earphones around, but they have a pretty smooth sound, with what I would call a "satisfying" amount of bass. Although the treble, as has been said before, is pretty rolled off, which might not be a good thing for music with a lot of energy up there.

As for portability, who said that? They're extremely portable.
