How fast are you willing to drive on the freeways, highways, & expressways?

Americans drive on their parkways, and they park on their driveways. Weird!

I usually go about 2-3mph over the speedlimit on long highway drives. When I take I-5 down to the bay to visit my family, I keep it parked at about 72mph, the speed limit is 70mph. Cops don't even look at you.

That is sad. My old 95 Jetta VR6 could get over 140mph. Though it probably weighed quite a bit less than the IS, so the power-to-weight helped it (the early Mk3 VR6 was rated at 172hp and 174 ft/lbs).

As fast as my car goes, if traffic density and speed limit allow: That's about 200 km/h with my ride (Mitsubishi Colt 1.6 Comfort with auto transmission) - 210 km/h max., if the autobahn goes slightly downhill. The Honda Accord 2.4 (also with automatic transmission) I had before would top out at ca. 220 - 230 km/h - the fastest car I've owned so far. The Mitsubishi is a lot more practical for actually transporting stuff, though - and, of course, it's easier to find a parking lot for it, too.

180km/h in heavy fog at 4 in the morning... I had been working for like 14+ hours straight and I just wanted to get home!, my selfpreservation instincts were pretty much non-existant at that point.

Kinda scary when I think about it now.
