I've been tinkering with headphones for a while and have a collection I am thinking of liquidating to go all in on a set up. By all in I mean headphones for ~$600 used. That is not a hard limit but I can't go crazy. For DAC/Amp I use a meridian explorer 2 and the P-51 for higher impedance headphones. The P-51 is ridiculously good, but is it good enough to keep up with higher end headphones? I have little experience with headphones beyond the Senn 650 level. I've had Senns 600/650, Dt880, AKG 701/550 plus a bunch more. Is there a product out there that demands attention or are there just marginal returns on exponentially increasing costs?
