Don't add more, just use a longer piece of wire.

and whats bannana, spade speaker cable and can i use them on my speakers. I dont have money for audiophile speaker cable unless you can find some for very cheap. I`m not going to spend more then $15 on speaker cable. I need about 30ft. 15ft per speaker. I`m just doing the front.

Can i get 30ft of speaker cable for $15 or less.

Go to radio shack. You should find what you need for less than $5.

Those things you're talking about are for fancier stuff. You might get some bananas for your cables but they cost $$ and are not strictly necessary. Spades are way overkill. Bare wire is good enough for the time being. If you don't get bananas, make sure the gauge wire you buy is thin enough to fit through the holes in your binding posts. 16ga. or smaller. If you do buy bananas, just make sure the wire you buy fits the bananas.

The general consensus is that bananas aren't the greatest. Not "tight" enough for audiophiles. They like spades where you can get a wrench and really tighten it down. They say it sounds better when it's tight. Right. Use your own judgement. Bare wire is ok except that with big gauge stuff it gets loose after a while as the strands compress.

Remember, loose = bad sound

I would agree with overly loose being bad, but bananas work just fine for me. So does bare wire but it's a pain to work with. Use bare wire to save money.

For mine, I just went out and got like a 75 foot spool of some 14 or 16 gauge wire, can't remember which, and then cut 4 equal lengths of wire (about 15 feet in my case), then tinned or soldered or whatever the ends, and inserted that into the holes, then tightened.

Works great for me!
