It's conceivable that headphones could be accidentally dropped on the floor. Possible ways this could happen are by tripping over the cable or stepping on the cable while getting up, resulting in the headphones being yanked off the head.
 
The LCD-2 headphones weigh more than the vast majority of headphones and have wooden construction. Given these factors, I wonder how well they would be able to withstand being dropped.

Say, if the LCD-2s were dropped from about 1m on to a hardwood floor would they be able to withstand the impact with no damage?
Does anyone have firsthand accounts of LCD-2's surviving (or not surviving) drops?

I recall a friend accidentally knocking his LCD-2's off his desk a couple of times onto a wooden floor, they still work just fine to this day.
