I just got an iRiver ih340, but I'm thinking of returning it and getting a Gigabeat instead. Only trouble is no one has them locally, so I can't try one out. There are a couple of things I'm concerned about:

-Can I mount it as an HDD or do I have to use crappy software?
-How does it sound?

The reviews are unclear on both of these. Any thoughts or anecdotes?

Well, it looks like they're trying to compete with Apple as far as "most blatantly overpriced DAP" goes. That's about all I can see.

The comment about competing with apple for the most overpriced may be the case for the amercian users but not here in the UK. You can get an ipod 20gig for £190, a gigabit for £200, a iaudio x5 for £250, sony hd- 5 for £180 ish, iriver H320 se for £200.

ya the iriver sounds kewl pics make it look huge, but... after seeing the H10 in person i dont know how accurate that is.
