What are the resistor values required to populate the Elma stepped atenuator from the group buy? Is the Elma fixed at a certain maximum impedence or will the maximum impedence be decided by the populating resistors? What is the correct wattage assuming Vishay-Dale resistors?

All the thing from the group buy is is a big complicated switch. The impedance is based 100% on what resistors you put in it. There have been a couple of posts about what values to use - look in the other Elma threads. You should be able to use 1/8 or 1/4W resistors with no problems as long as you have the attenuator on the input of of an amp not the output (high input impedance, very little current, very little power going through the resistors).
