How does the Beyer DT990 compare to the Ultrasone Pro 2500?

It's funny to see how different this thread is from the one I started a couple days ago! Back then the 2500s were dismissed automatically and never talked about again.

Now if only someone had tried both the DT-990s (2005 edition) and the ProLine 2500s...

I guess Ultrasones were not given a chance that time. All opinions were about first impressions and few minute test runs? Or they had that cable connection issue that turned Jpelg down at first too.

Or 2500 is simply an awful headphone?
