Im looking for a small footprint CD player, and Ive heard good things about this. But, will it be a worthwhile upgrade from a Sony D33. I will be using Grado 225's >> MINT/RA1 clone.

And, does it have RCA outputs, I cant find that info.

Try reading one of the articles that started this NEC following. Supposedly it's a decent transport. I personally wouldn't expect too much, but for $10-20? It might be worth looking into. Most people here use it only for a transport though (they use the digital or coaxial out to a DAC).

It's DAC is quite old and I think most CDROMs have analoge audio output as afterthought. When I get mine, I'm going to checkout how the RCA jack sounds compared to my DVD player. I don't have PCDP though.
