How do you wash your pads?

I use laundry detergent, and hand wash. I'll try to air dry if I'm patient. I find that I don't trust just handwashing, so I'll use a cocktail of water softeners and detergent boosters. Soak, rinse, and repeat if you're like me. When it comes to those pleather bits like on the Sennheiser 580s, I like to moisten them with a little Armor All. When I purchased one of my phones used, I did this. Man the brown funky water that came out in the wash was troubling, but my phones are smelling purdy now, and even better with a second wash.

Well in this case I do have a sad experience, be careful, I washed the pads on my HD600, and they broke along the line in which the velour joins with the vinyl or plastic ring of the bottom, the warm water, or hot, will affect the join as it is made by heat....so IME avoid to wash them, and if you have to, do it very gentle, very gentle OK???
