How do you pronounce "tinnitus?"

Well guys, tinnitus is a Latin word, and this is the way the great orator Cicero would have pronounced it: "tin-nee-tus". The other form "tin-nye-tus" is a later anglicised adaptation, which I assume to be okay, however not genuine.

Cheers,
Alex

So people had some spare time and they spent over discussing Po-ta-to or Po-tah-to.

As a matter of fact, both are correct. Since, Americans changed every 'ee' sound to their own liking and called it American English.
