I lay mine 'phones down on the table when not in use and I avoid using them while my hair is wet after a shower. That's about it and they stay in good shape. Nothing crazy here.

Earphones - Senn MX550. I just keep changing the foam earplugs every month or so, or when they fall off/get too waxy. And use antiseptic wipes to sterilise the driver casing (or whatever its called)...

you havent used the e4s long enough to realise.....that the shure wordings..that top half of the earphone is actually a thin layer of some semi-rubbery material.. and over time.. it gets worn.. starting from the area above the (L) and the (R) of the earphones......
