How do --->you<--- evaluate headphones?

I evaluate headphones in this way :

0. specifications and reviews ( this lead me to try a product )

1. comfort , usability ( they have to be comfortable , because I'll not even wear them in another case . "comfort" comes before pleasure for me )
sidenote , comfort is personal and would need an entire chapter of discussion , headphone wise , still many top headphones are too much weight + bulky

if 1=ok , then
2. sound , first impact . It gives some important informations to me , and it's very important I keep those in high regard while judging step 3 too

if 2=ok , then

3. sound , long term . This comes naturally and tell you about the sound you want and you desire a bit more then 2 .

If these 3 points are checked , then the item is ok . I'll sell it only if judging change , in a time , and period , for one of the 3 .

I'll upgrade if something top in a important manner ( for me ) 1 of the 3 points .

Upgradities .

It's a pleasure and malady too .

It can cause dependence .

MOTM rules head-fi life - beginners be aware

this would need a bit of photoshop , but I'm very lazy today

try imagining in the center , top of the table , a new headphone , amp or gear , and in the seats some head-fiers coming to see and listen about ; some eventually moving down to try
