I have a $150 budget and want a decent desktop amp. I was looking at the Little Dot 1+ and some other hybrid tube amps.
 
Mainly listen to rap, kpop, trance. I don't like overwhelming bass which is why I am going with the Q701s. Just need to know how to power them.

Find a used little Dot 1+ Hybrid, in the thread "Amplifiers for Sale".

FiiO E17 (I know it's a portable) is a competent little amp/dac that pairs up really well with the Q701's.

I've used both the E17 and the O2 for my k702s. I think you'd be happy with either one. If you need a DAC it's hard to beat the E17 at that price. If not, the O2 really does a fine job driving the AKGs. It's a step above the E17. I've stopped looking for an amp for those cans.
