My question is with a future purchase of a DAC and a headphone amp. How do i plug my headphones in to the whole thing. I know there is a headphone jack in both the amp and the DAC but what one, and isnt there a cable that i buy that goes into the back of the DAC and Amp and i just mysteriously plug it in to (i think) the DAC. And how do i plug my ipod into my amp if i dont have a DAC, isnt that what a iMod cable is for where i plug it into the bottom of the ipod to the headphone amp, and i plug my headphone into my ipod.

I assume you want to source from your computer, so the correct path would be "Computer > Optical or Coaxial out > DAC > Dual RCA cable out > amp > headphones". I'm not sure about the whole iMod thing, since I don't own one.
