I just got my Etymotic 6i's in the mail, and having not seen the old ones, can someone tell me how I can be sure this is the new revised model?
How do I know it's the revised Ety-6i?

The difference is where the replacement tips are fitted to the barrel of the ER6I. Do yours feel rubbery or are they a hard plastic ?
The best way to check might be to give etymotic a call; they ought to be able to use the serial number to determine old/new style

It's definitely hard plastic. I hadn't realized it was the tip getting stuck in people's ears. I thought it was just the flanges. It makes sense now that I can see them. Thanks for the help!
