How do I identify wire as silver or not?

The kester stuff I have here is about 2% silver. It seems slightly stronger than normal solder and is easy to use (roughly the same melting point I think, don't need to run the soldering iron hotter)

Whether it conducts better or not, I don't know and I don't really care.



I use the same stuff, and it's very easy to work with. I don't know where eric gets the idea that it's hard to make a good joint with silver solder.
