I have a zvox 220. I have the rear inputs connected to the 3.5mm of my macbook air. How would i get the clearest sound or best overall sound out of my zvox? I guess what i am asking in laymen's terms how do i configuring my volume levels and sound options on both the laptop/zvox panel to optimize my overall zvox speaker clarity?

I am new to sound but recently i have been enlighten to what i think is quality sound. Not sure how i would go about learning to be experts like you guys. So go easy me, thanks.

If you connect to the 220 via the 3.5mm headphone jack of your computer, the most important suggestion is to turn up the internal volume control on your PC so it feeds a very strong signal to the ZVOX. Even turned up all the way it's not likely to distort, so crank it up -- then control the volume on the ZVOX.  If you send a low signal to the ZVOX you may end up with poor signal-to-noise ratio and minimized dynamics.
Other than that, we suggest you experiment with the different settings -- bass, treble, PhaseCue (our virtual surround technology), DE (Dialog Emphasis) and OL (Output Leveling) -- to tailor the sound to your preferences.  If you have questions you can email us at info@zvoxaudio.com or call toll free at 866-367-9869 or check the FAQs at zvoxaudio.com.
