I have just received my HA25D and I am trying to get it to work with the flexijack of my X-Fi XtremeMusic.

First off, to start, is it bad that I bought a 3.5mm to RCA mono adapter?

I don't know how to set this thing up to use the SPDIF out.

that is what you need. Now you need to go into the Creative control software and set the flexijack for digital out. Since all my music is from cds @ 44.1, I overclocked the output to 88.2, instead of 48 or 96.

and since 88.2 is a direct multiple of 44.1 it should sound better
