My Denon's recently lost sound in the right can. I'd like to attempt a recable myself and would like to have a look inside before deciding. I suspect that the back just pops off, but would like to check with someone that's done it before so that I don't bust it...

Any additional feedback on recabling the 2000's would be appreciated.

Check out the MarkL mod thread where he shows step by step how to mod the D5000. The D2000 comes apart the same way.

Twist the ear pads maybe 1/4 inch counter clockwise and they pop off, then there are 3 (or 4...I forget) screws that remove the backs from the frame.
